SURVIVOR CENTRIC INTERVENTIONS

About Us | Urja Trust

Our Mission

"To act as a catalyst for homeless young women by facilitating their journey to access fundamental needs, reclaim their identity by building an exemplary, replicable model that provides opportunities for their economic, psychological, emotional, civil and social development."

Our Vision

"A just and equitable society where every young woman, regardless of her circumstances or background, has the safety, resources, and unshakeable confidence to build a life of purpose and independence."

Addressing the Invisible Crisis

Homeless young women are among the most marginalized and invisible demographics in our society. Often fleeing abuse, exploitation, or systemic poverty, they arrive at transit hubs with nothing but vulnerability.

Urja Trust was born out of a critical need to intervene. We don't just provide a temporary roof; we provide a comprehensive ecosystem of care. By recognizing that homelessness is a loss of identity and civil rights, we have built a model that addresses root causes rather than just symptoms.

From the bustling platforms of Dadar Station to the quiet, healing spaces of our Group Homes, our dedicated team of social workers, counselors, and educators work tirelessly to ensure no young woman is left to face the streets alone.
